Bavarian Buy Back Option Favors Italian Giants

Milan Handed Huge Boost in Zirkzee Pursuit as Terms of Release Clause Revealed

Bavarian Buy-Back Option Favors Italian Giants

Multiple Clubs Eyeing Dutch Striker's Services

FC Bayern Munich has reportedly secured a buy-back clause on Joshua Zirkzee in the range of 20-25 million euros, in addition to a sell-on clause. However, this clause is only valid for the German club, leaving other interested parties out of contention.

Bologna FC, where Zirkzee currently plays, has confirmed that the Dutch international's 40 million euro release clause is only valid for Bayern Munich. This means that AC Milan, Arsenal, Manchester United, and Juventus, who have all expressed interest in Zirkzee, are now eligible to pursue his signature.

AC Milan has reportedly informed Bologna of their intention to activate the release clause, putting them in a strong position to acquire the in-demand striker. Bayern Munich, despite having the buy-back option, could decide to leave Zirkzee in Italy and wait for Bologna to decide what to do with him.

Zirkzee's impressive performances in Serie A have made him a hot commodity in the transfer market. The 23-year-old has enjoyed a breakout season with Bologna, scoring 10 goals in 25 appearances.

The Dutchman's contract at Bologna expires in June 2026, but it remains to be seen whether he will extend his stay in Italy or move to another club this summer. Several top European clubs are monitoring his situation, and a bidding war could ensue in the coming months.
